Application status Canada Immigration?
I was applying last year November 2008 as immigrant to canada together my wife and my daugther,at one consultant office here in dubai,im the principal applicant ,last Feb.the agency gave me file number from immigration but when i treid to open i can’t,open my file.And the agency tell me another four months because my papers still under processing in immigration.My question is how many months to process the papers of the applicant?If im qualified or not.thanks hope some best answer.
If you have a file number already, it means that at least they are doing something. If you applied under the federal skilled worker program, nobody knows how long it takes exactly because they started working under new rules last November but they aim to not take longer than 6-12 months in the future.
You have to ask your consultant to tell you what is happening. Applications in November 2008 would have been subjected to the new rules so look at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp to see if you are qualifed.
